It’s Photo Friday and this week I’m featuring images that my talented friend Vanessa Langton took! You really should check out her website and work by clicking here. Vanessa says her favorite photos to snap are ones that capture mundane, routine, and unrehearsed moments.
She was able to do just that at the grand opening of “Creme de la Creme” food truck at The Point Park and Eats in Boerne.
What’s unique about this food truck is that Spur Tony Parker has teamed up with his personal chef of nearly five years to bring authentic French cuisine to San Antonio. The food truck is actually a converted school bus.
Chef Cliff Chetwood (a San Antonio native) and Parker have come up with a menu featuring crepes, steak frites, croquet monsieurs, salade and quiche to name a few.
Parker has been quoted here as saying, “This food truck is an opportunity to share a part of my French heritage with the people of San Antonio through Chef Cliff’s culinary creations.”
Vanessa and the media waited about 1.5 hours for Parker to show up at the opening, and unfortunately left without meeting him. At some point, as seen in his Instagram post, Parker did make a supportive appearance. My guess is that he wanted to give his chef the chance to shine, since ultimately he’s running this show!
You can check out the food truck for yourself 5 to 10 p.m. on Thursdays, 3 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and noon to 10 p.m. on Saturdays.
